Gas explosion destroys Columbia shopping center
The explosion occurred just before 8 a.m. Aug. 25 in the business area of 8800 block of Stanford Boulevard. Officials said the explosion caused a widespread power outage to the Stanford Boulevard and McGaw Road area.
