A Columbia man was injured in a single vehicle crash in Jessup late Thursday.
Howard County police say Maurice Kenneth Hockaday, 23, was driving alone when his 1994 Acura Integra struck a parked box truck the 8200 block of Preston Court. He was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center where he was in serious but stable condition.
Police said Hockaday lost control at a curve in the road and are investigating whether speed may have been a factor. Police do not believe alcohol was a factor and said that Hockaday was wearing his seat belt.
The crash occurred shortly before 10:15 p.m. Preston Court was closed until 12:30 a.m. while police investigated the crash.
