A pedestrian died Nov. 27 after he was struck by a vehicle in Elkridge, Howard County police say.
Howard County police wrote on Twitter that the office is investigating “a fatal collision involving a pedestrian in the area of Montgomery Road and Washington Boulevard (Route 1).”
Police on Nov. 29 identified the pedestrian as Jackie Leroy Brown, 72, of Elkridge. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a news release, the department wrote that a 2004 Toyota Sienna was driving southbound on Washington Boulevard just south of Montgomery Road and struck Brown who was in the roadway. The driver, Anthony Wayne Hammond, 49, of Elkridge, remained at the scene of the crash, police said.
Police are continuing to investigate the crash. No charges have been filed.
