Howard County resident Cynthia Penny-Ardinger appointed to Maryland Transportation Authority board

Cynthia Penny-Ardinger, a Howard County resident, was appointed the newest member of the Maryland Transportation Authority Board, Gov. Larry Hogan announced Thursday.

A Certified Public Accountant, Penny-Ardinger, has worked for Baxter, Baker, Sidle, Conn & Jones, P.A., for two decades, and previously served on several Howard County boards including: the Ellicott City Volunteer Fire Company, the Charter Review Commission of Howard County and Neighborhood Ride.

“Cynthia’s expertise in law and business operations will be positive assets to the entire MDTA team,” said MDTA Chairman and Maryland Department of Transportation Secretary Pete K. Rahn.

Penny-Ardinger is filling the seat vacated by Peter J. Basso, and joins seven other members of the board.
