A MARC train struck and killed a woman in Elkridge around 8:30 Tuesday morning, according to the Howard County Police Department.
Police identified the victim as Lynette Michelle Green, 32, of Elkridge. According to witnesses, the train’s conductor sounded his horn when he saw Green on the tracks and tried to prevent the collision, but she didn’t move, police said in a news release.
The investigation of the collision, which occurred in the 5800 block of Race Road, is ongoing, police wrote.
