The Howard County club Ice Hockey season kicked off over the weekend.
In its first game of the season, WHO (Wilde Lake, Hammond, Oakland Mills) tied with Reservoir, 6-6. Brendan Hankins, Trent Teodori, Luke Roarty and Chris Moon scored for Reservoir. Trent Teodori tallied his first hat trick of the season. Not to be out done, WHO's Michael Amick added a three-goal outing of his own. Other WHO goals were scored by freshmen Noah Wadsworth (2) and Kevin Comeaux, with Kyle Konarska providing an assist. Reservoir's Kris Westland made his goalie debut by stopping 12 shots. WHO goalie Alexa Kanakry tallied 25 saves.
After jumping out to an early one-goal lead, Howard (0-1) fell to Atholton (1-0) by a final score of 6-2. Evan Davis and Matthew Barila each had two goals for the Raiders. Howard goalie Alex Oslund made 30 saves, while the Raiders out-shot the Lions 36-20.
