Secretary Smith gives keynote at breakfast transportation forum

The BWI Business Partnership's November Signature Breakfast and Transportation Forum will be held Thursday, Nov. 14 from 7:45 to 9:15 a.m. at the BWI Airport Marriott, 1743 West Nursery Road, in Linthicum.

Maryland Transportation Secretary James T. Smith Jr. will give the keynote address. Smith oversees all aspects of transportation throughout the state of Maryland. Included in his oversight are the state's highway, transit and rail networks, motor vehicles, BWI Marshall Airport and the Port of Baltimore. Smith will provide his perspective on how Maryland's new transportation revenue will be spent and how the enhancement of Maryland's transportation networks will affect the region.

Area transportation-related agencies will exhibit at the breakfast.

Advance registration is required by Nov. 12. Partnership members attend at no charge or $30, depending on membership level. Space permitting, non-members may attend for $50.
