Basketball tryouts

The Lady Blazers Basketball Travel team will hold tryouts for sixth- and seventh-grade girls at 6 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, Aug. 27 and 29, and 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, at the Roger Carter Community Center, 3000 Milltown Road in Ellicott City. Piano lessons Diane Waslick teaches a half-hour session Mondays through Fridays. Cost is $30.

Blood pressure screenings Stop in from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays for free blood pressure readings by a registered nurse. Information: 410-313-1425.

Ask the Pharmacist Don Hamilton will provide updates and information concerning your medications at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26. Bring questions, drug lists or prescription containers to discuss medication concerns. Free.

Monthly Bingo will be held beginning at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27. Cost is $4.
