A motorcyclist was killed in Elkridge Tuesday after colliding with a truck on Route 1. At 12:02 p.m., the motorcycle was coming over the crest of a hill on Route 1 northbound when it collided with a truck making a left-hand turn out of the southbound lane onto Kit Kat Road, according to Howard County Police. 

The motorcyclist, Nicholas Dion Finnegan, 22, of Gambrills, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police closed Route 1 at Route 103 because of the investigation. 

Police do not expect to file charges against the driver of the truck, Alvarado Gonzalez, 53, of Alexandria, Va. The truck is owned by Georgetown Paper Stock.
