Film screening In observance of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, the Howard County Office on Aging will present screenings of the short film, "An Age for Justice: Confronting Elder Abuse in America," at 11 a.m. at the Bain Center, 5470 Ruth Keeton Way in Columbia, and at 1 p.m. at the North Laurel 50+ Center, 9411 Whiskey Bottom Road in Laurel. Film will also be shown Thursday, June 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Glenwood 50+ Center, 2400 Route 997 in Cooksville. Free. Information: 410-313-6410.

Legal screening Attorney Victor Berger will host the 60 Plus Wills and Legal Screening Program from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bain Center, 5470 Ruth Keeton Way, Columbia. Services include simple wills, powers of attorney, living wills, small estates and deed changes. Program is open to residents 60 and older. Cost depends on income. Information: 410-313-7213.

Coffee social The Columbia Community Exchange, in partnership with the Oakland Mills Village Association, will host a coffee social from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at The Other Barn, 5851 Robert Oliver Place in Columbia. Join current members and residents for coffee, social visiting and the chance to learn about Howard County's time banking program.
