Police have identified the man who died Tuesday after crashing into a disabled car stopped in the middle of Route 32 east of I-95 in Howard County as Charles Michael Oberry, 63, of the 1800 block of Blue Jay Court in Severn.
Oberry was headed eastbound in a 1991 Honda Accord when his car hit a 2008 Nissan Versa that had run off the road and bounced back on, stopping in the center lane, Howard County police said. The driver, identified as Anna Artapova, 33, of Catonsville, left the car to call for help and Oberry's vehicle hit it. He was pronounced dead on the scene of the 10:20 p.m. incident. The investigation is continuing, police said.
