Theatrical production

Decorator show house
Historic Ellicott City Inc. presents its 26th annual Decorator Show House. Witching Hour Farm at 15475 Old Frederick Road in Woodbine was built 100 years ago and named for an owner's favorite horse. It is a seven-bedroom home on 80 acres. The event includes a tour, with items for sale, a boutique, antique shop and garden shop. Open through Sunday, Oct. 17. Water main construction
A project to replace a 30-inch water main with a 48-inch main near U.S. 29 and Montgomery Road is continuing, with completion expected in late April. Information: 410-313-3440.
Quilt exhibit
"Stitches in Time/Threads of Change: An Exhibition of Maryland Community Quilts" continues through March 31 at the Benjamin Banneker Historical Park & Museum, 300 Oella Ave. The "Banneker Historical Quilt," a project more than five years in the making, is the centerpiece of the exhibit. 'Roads to Rails: The Thomas Viaduct'
The exhibit, running through Nov. 7 at the B&O Railroad Museum, 2711 Maryland Ave. in Ellicott City, explains how the Thomas Viaduct was built and includes pictures of it in use. Visitors can learn about Phillip Thomas, president of the B&O, for whom the bridge is named, and the engineer, Benjamin Latrobe. The viaduct, which spans the Patapsco River in Relay, was completed July 4, 1835. Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays-Sundays. Information: 410-461-1945.
