Four arrested in string of Columbia apartment burglaries

Howard County police have charged four people in a series of 11 residential apartment burglaries in Columbia.

More than $50,000 worth of property, including cash, jewelry, video game systems, cameras and cell phones, was taken in the incidents, which occurred in the 5200 block of Columbia Road from May 5 to June 29.

Detectives received a call on June 29 from someone reporting that a suspicious was person tampering with door knobs, and a resident gave police a description of the person.

Antwan Terrill Moorman, 21, was arrested at the scene. He shared an apartment with Madeline Rose Asbell, 19, Steven William Souder, 21, and Lori Marie Chilcoat, 26, who were also subsequently charged.
