Police seek man who robbed Ellicott City bank

Howard County police are looking for information that will lead to the arrest of an unidentified white man in his 20s who they believe robbed an Ellicott City bank Monday.

According to police, the man entered Howard Bank in the 10100 block of Baltimore National Pike before 10:50 a.m. He gave a teller a note that implied he was armed and asked for cash. After the teller gave him money, the suspect fled.

None of the three employees in the bank, which didn't have any customers at the time, was injured.

The man is described as about 5 foot 8 and thin. He was wearing a gray hooded sweat shirt, a gray baseball cap with a black bill and thick black gloves.

Anyone with information should call police at 410-313-STOP. Calls will remain anonymous. A reward of $2,500 is being offered for information leading to his arrest.
