Police charge woman in burglary of Ellicott City restaurant after flooding

Howard County police Wednesday charged a 29-year-old woman with assault, burglary and theft at Portalli's Restaurant following the devastating flood that hit Ellicott City Saturday night.

The owner of the restaurant, Evan Brown, told police he found a woman walking out of his Italian restaurant when he arrived to assess the damage to the establishment Sunday afternoon. He said she was carrying four bottles of liquor, police said.
