One of the buildings at Homestead/Wakefield Elementary School in Howard County will close Monday due to a mechanical failure, the school system said.
All pre-K students and any others with classes in the Wakefield Building, where the issue arose, will have the day off, officials said.
The Homestead Building was not affected, and regularly scheduled classes will take place there.
All staff are to report for regular hours, the school system said.
