Howard County Executive Allan H. Kittleman, who took office at the end of 2014, will host the first of what he says will be quarterly town hall meetings next week, starting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, at The Other Barn in Oakland Mills.
"I'm not making a speech or setting the agenda. I want to know what's on people's minds," Kittleman said in a statement. "We found this format to be effective over the past year, and we want to continue it as a way to work together on our future."
Administration officials said Kittleman will discuss any subject and field questions from residents. Kittleman will schedule others in different parts of the county.
Oakland Mills Community Association Board of Directors co-chairs Ginny Thomas and Bill McCormack called the meeting a chance for residents to collaborate on what matters in the community
The Other Barn is located in the Oakland Mills Village Center at 5851 Robert Oliver Place, Columbia. There is no need for advanced registration. The session is expected to run no later than 8:30 p.m..
