Howard County police said a woman may have been shot before her body was found inside her burning trailer in Elkridge Saturday morning.
Firefighters were called about the fire, in the Capitol Mobile Park in the 6600 block of Washington Blvd., around 10:35 a.m. Inside the trailer was a deceased woman, "suffering from trauma unrelated to the fire which investigators believe may be a gunshot wound," according to police. The woman was identified as Stacey Lynn Fuller, 39. Police said they are investigating the matter as a homicide.
The fire was quickly extinguished and its cause is under investigation. No one else was inside the trailer when firefighters arrived, police said.
