A 24-year-old Ellicott City man died after his car collided with a tractor trailer in Elkridge early Monday morning, Howard County police said.
The driver, Julio Cesar Grimaldo Gonzalez, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said his 2015 Chevy Camaro was traveling west in the eastbound lanes of MD 100 between Snowden River Parkway and MD 103 around 3:30 a.m. when it struck a tractor trailer head-on and caught fire. Police determined Gonzalez was at fault in the crash.
Another car struck the tractor trailer after the collision, but the driver was not injured. The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.
