Film series
The National Wildlife Visitor Center joins with the Conservation & Wildlife Film Festival and Friends of Patuxent to present a film series being held Friday-Saturday, Nov. 4-5, at the National Wildlife Visitor Center, 10901 Scarlet Tanager Loop in Laurel. History lecture series

Tai Sophia open houses
Tai Sophia Institute will offer Graduate School Open Houses featuring all of the institute's programs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, and 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at 7750 Montpelier Road in Laurel. Prospective students will be able to discuss the programs with faculty, students and alumni, meet with admissions and financial aid counselors, and tour the facility's healing arts library, wellness clinic and the campus. Laurel Park history
"And They're Off! 100 Years at Laurel Park," a centennial exhibit at the Laurel Museum, explores the history and racing highlights of Laurel Park and the track's impact on the community.
