Native American theme
The Laurel Museum hosts a "Kids Sunday" with a Native American theme from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 23 at the Laurel Museum, 817 Main St. This family event will feature games and crafts and harvest-related activities. Pub and games night
An 18th-century Pub and Games Night, with free beer tasting from Franklin's Brewery, will be held 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at Montpelier Mansion, 9652 Muirkirk Road in Laurel. Art exhibit
"Sara Steele: Watercolors" is on view through Nov. 30 in the Himmelfarb Gallery at Tai Sophia Institute, 7750 Montpelier Road in Laurel. Laurel Park history
"And They're Off! 100 Years at Laurel Park," a centennial exhibit at the Laurel Museum, explores the history and racing highlights of Laurel Park and the track's impact on the community. Fun at the library
"Picture Book Parade!" for children ages 2-5 with an adult will be offered at 10 a.m. Thursdays at the Savage branch of the Howard County Public Library. "Pajama Time," when children may wear pajamas and bring teddy bears and blankets, will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesdays. The branch is at 9525 Durness Lane in Laurel. Information: 410-880-5980.
