Art exhibit

"Sara Steele: Watercolors" exhibit is on view through Nov. 30 in the Himmelfarb Gallery at Tai Sophia Institute, 7750 Montpelier Road in Laurel. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. Information: 410-888-9048.

Laurel Park history

"And They're Off! 100 Years at Laurel Park," a centennial exhibit at the Laurel Museum, explores the history and racing highlights of Laurel Park and the track's impact on the community. The museum is at 817 Main St. Hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays, and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays. Information: laurelhistoricalsociety.org.

Fun at the library

"Picture Book Parade!" for children ages 2-5 with an adult will be offered at 10 a.m. Thursdays at the Savage branch of the Howard County Public Library. "Pajama Time," when children may wear pajamas and bring teddy bears and blankets, will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesdays. The branch is at 9525 Durness Lane in Laurel. Information: 410-880-5980.
