A service of story, song and spirit will be held at 7 p.m. Christmas Eve at Channing Memorial Church, Unitarian Universalist, 3220 Corporate Court, Suite C in Ellicott City. Refreshments will be served after services. Information: 410-203-0474.


Festival of Trains

The B&O Railroad Station Museum's annual Holiday Festival of Trains is on display through Jan. 25 at 2711 Maryland Ave. The exhibit includes a LEGO layout with lights, motors and sounds, and an O-scale and N-scale layout. Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays. Information: 410-461-1945.


Free parking

Parking in all lots in Historic Ellicott City is free through Thursday, Jan. 1. Meters on Main Street and Maryland Avenue remain in effect, as well as the two-hour limit for parking on Main Street during the holidays.


Registration with an early bird discount for the Elkridge Youth Organization's spring season is open through Wednesday, Dec. 31. Regular fees kick in Jan. 1. In addition, anyone interested in coaching should contact Vince Widmaier, who is listed on the website at eyosports.org.

Blood pressure screenings Stop in from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays (except Dec. 30) for free blood pressure readings by a registered nurse. Information: 410-313-1425.

Ask the Pharmacist Don Hamilton will provide the latest information on medications at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 22. Bring questions, drug lists or prescription containers to discuss concerns.
