Art exhibit
The Howard County Center for the Arts presents its annual Resident Visual Artists Exhibit through Friday, June 26, at 8510 High Ridge Road in Ellicott City. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays. Information: 410-313-2787
Outdoor movies

Vacation Bible School
Bethany United Methodist Church will host its annual Vacation Bible School from 9 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. June 22-26 at 2875 Bethany Lane. This year's program is "G-Force: God's Love in Action" Children in preschool through fifth grade are welcome. Cost is $35 per child. There will be music, science, crafts, games and snacks. Movies in the park
Belmont Manor and Historic Park will host an outdoor movie series through August at 6555 Belmont Woods Road in Elkridge. Bring a picnic dinner, blankets and lawn chairs. Popcorn and water will be available for a small fee. Movies start at 8 p.m. Free.

English conversation
The Miller branch of the Howard County Public Library, 9421 Frederick Road, offers "Let's Get Together: English Conversation Club," a chance for those for whom English is a second language to practice speaking and understanding English in a group setting.
