Spring formal
The Howard County Historical Society presents A Starlight Spring Formal in Old Ellicott City from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at 8328 Court Ave. The event will feature entertainment by Eli August and the Abandoned Buildings, the Hot and Bothered Vaudevillian Duo and Karnevil Sideshow Antics. •"Personal Geographies: Maps as Art" and "No Boundaries" will be on display in Galleries I and II through Friday, April 24, at the Howard County Center for the Arts, 8510 High Ridge Road. Plant and bake sale
The Cross Country Garden Club will hold its annual plant and bake sale from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 2, at 9041 Chevrolet Drive. Annuals, perennials, hanging baskets and homemade baked goods will be for sale. Information: 410-992-7680.
