Art exhibits
•The exhibit "Friends Painting Contrasts," featuring the watercolors, acrylics and paintings of Jane Byers and Mara Marchand, runs June 15 through Aug. 8 in the Bill White Room at the Bernice Kish Gallery at Slayton House, 10400 Cross Fox Lane. Softball players wanted
The Cindy LaRue League seeks players 19 and older (especially women) to play on Sunday afternoons through August in a noncompetitive, slow-pitch softball league at Wilde Lake Middle School fields. Athletic skill is not required and the goal is to have fun. Everyone plays. The registration fee is $20 per person.
