Bel Air senior running back Daniel Webber scored two touchdowns to help lead Bel Air (1-0, 4-0) past host Fallston (0-1, 2-2), 41-20, in the UCBAC Chesapeake Division football opener for both teams.Havre de Grace (1-0, 4-0), meanwhile, stayed unbeaten as well, coming from behind to beat visiting C. Milton Wright (0-1, 2-2), 14-10.Harford County's other unbeaten, Edgewood (0-1, 3-1) suffered defeat in overtime to visiting Aberdeen (1-0, 2-2), 32-24.In Bel Air's win, it was Webber's one-yard sneak that put the Bobcats ahead, 7-0, early in quarter two. Fallston answered right back, taking the ensuing kickoff and scoring on a nine-yard pass play from Brady McMaines to Scott Dettloff. The PAT, however was blocked and the Cougars didn't score again until they were 35 points down.A 34-yard run on first and 23 ignited the Bel Air offense. A 32-yard pass to Webber from Michael Yetter set up Webber's second score, a six-yard touchdown run. Alex Clifford's kick boosted the lead to 14-6."We really answered the bell tonight against a UCBAC opponent," Webber said. " I really wouldn't have been able to anything without the line, Alex Muneses, Tommy Gomez, those guys in there. Joe Cerililo got the start tonight, so it was really good to see those guys putting the work in. I wouldn't really be able to anything without them."The Bobcats were right back in business a minute later when Jon Scott intercepted a pass and a nice return brought the ball back to the Fallston 24.On first down, Zach Powell raced 24 yards for the score, and the Bobcats lead quickly grew to 21-6.A pair of touchdowns, two minutes apart, blew the game wide open. Yetter connected with Tom Waibel on an 40-yard score and after Powell recovered an onside kick, freshman Brandon Godfrey scored the first of his two touchdowns from five yards out.Godfrey also scored Bel Air's final touchdown, breaking through the line and out running the defense 47 yards to the end zone.The Cougars never gave up and with two late fourth quarter scores, made it look respectable. McMaines passed 22 yards to Garrett Phillips for the first score, while Dettloff ran 10 yards for the other. Dettloff also caught the two-point conversion pass from McMaines to close the scoring.The Cougars bid for a third score was halted by a game-ending interception by Devin Adams.The Bobcats did lose the services of senior running back Keegan McHugh to a knee injury late in the first half. Severity of the injury was not immediately known.Warriors edge MustangsIn Havre de Grace, the Warriors got a touchdown pass from Mike Flosser to Christian Penrow for the second straight week, and this one was the game winner in the Chesapeake Division opener for the hosts and the visiting Mustangs.The winning score came at the end of the third quarter, with the Warriors trailing 10-7. CMW had taken the 10-7 lead with a touchdown within the first two minutes of the second half.Havre de Grace's other touchdown came on an Knowledge Johnson run. Clay Harris added both extra-point kicks.Eagles beat Rams in OTIn Aberdeen's Chesapeake Division win, Stephon Blackwell completed 13-of-17 passes for 187 yards and two touchdowns.Josh Maxwell added 201 yards and a score on 15 carries, and Antwan Evans finished with three catches for 123 yards and two touchdowns.Trejuan Malloy added an 85-yard kick return for points, while the Eagles defense was led by Joshua Maxwell (12 tackles) and Kenny Huiett (eight tackles).Huskies get first winPatterson Mill (1-0, 1-3) earned its first win, beating host North East, 42-36, in Susquehanna Division play.Jordan Reid led the Huskies, completing 17-of-22 passes for 270 yards and four touchdowns. He also carried the ball 10 times for 87 yards and another touchdown.Brendan Bandy had five catches for 118 yards and two scores, while Cooper Mattheu also had five catches for 106 yards and a score.Defensively, Chuck Alevato had three solo tackles, nine assist, a sack and a forced fumble. Todd Campo added six solo tackles, eight assists and two tackles for loss.Hawks beat Winters MillNorth Harford (3-1) hosted Winters Mill in a non-league game and won, 44-36.Cole Dickerson had a huge night for the Hawks, carrying the ball 23 times for 231 yards, four touchdowns and a two-point conversion.JT Kidd added 25 carries for 161 yards, a touchdown and three, two-point conversions. Dave Harmon was 5-for-7 passing for 52 yards and a touchdown.Zachary Chavis had the touchdown reception.Other scoresIn other Susquehanna action, Harford Tech (0-1, 2-2) was edged by visiting Perryville (1-0, 1-3), 21-19.
