Tuesday's tri-swim meet at Magnolia Middle School between Havre de Grace, Fallston and Harford Tech was a tight one.
The three teams beat each other in the combined scoring. Fallston beat Havre de Grace, 102-81, while Havre de Grace beat Tech, 95-90, and Tech beat Fallston, 96-88.
In boys scoring, Havre de Grace beat Tech, 47-44, but Fallston edged Havre de Grace, 46-43. Tech beat Fallston, 51-39.
In girls scoring, Havre de Grace edged Tech, 48-46, while Fallston beat Havre de Grace, 56-38. Fallston topped Tech, 49-45.
The meet was highlighted by six individual double winners. Three came from the Tech girls. Taylor Casalena was first in the 200 and 500 free races, while Alyssa Carestia won the 100 back and 200 IM events. Megan Culbertson added wins in the 50 free and 100 breast heats. The Cobras also won the 200 medley and 400 free girls relays.
Fallston boys had a pair of double winners. Coby Bracken won the 200 IM and 500 free races and Sean Lagan was first in the 100 fly and 100 breast events. The Cougars also won the 400 free boys relay.
The meet's other double winner was Tucker Young of Tech, who won the 50 and 100 free races. Chris Garvin added a win in the 200 free and the Cobras were first in the 200 free boys relay.
Rachel D'Anna (100 fly) and Elizabeth Massetti (100 free) were winners for Fallston. The Cougar girls also won the 200 free relay.
Havre de Grace's lone individual win came from Zak Orzewicz in the 100 back; the Warriors also posted a relay win in the 200 medley race.
Huskies beat Rams
Patterson Mill battled Edgewood in a dual meet at North Harford Middle School's pool Tuesday and won the combined scoring, 203-134.
The Huskies narrowly won the boys meet, 86-81, while the girls meet wasn't so close, with Patterson Mill winning 117-53.
Luke Holloway led the Huskies boys with wins in the 100 fly and 100 back races. Kevin Lingelbach (200 free), Spencer Stuff (200 IM), Jack Leary (100 free) and Will Nguyen (100 breast) were winners as well. The boys also won the 200 medley and 200 free relays.
Ana Hughes won the 50 and 500 free events and Annie Tompkins won the 100 fly and 100 breast races to lead the girls.
The Huskies also got wins from June Ikemoto (200 free), Lydia Elchick (200 IM) and Avery Dinger (100 free). The Huskies also swept the girls relays.
Edgewood had a double winner: Josh Bulavko won the 50 and 500 free races. Madelyn Miller added a win in the 100 back race and the Edgewood boys were first in the 400 free relay.
