Whether it's county opponents or non-county, the C. Milton Wright swim team continues to mow down the competition.
The Mustangs latest win came Monday in the Edgewood Middle School pool over North Harford (141-76) and Queen Anne's (117-71). Queen Anne's defeated North Harford, 117-70.
Boys scoring was CMW over Queen Anne's, 56-38 and North Harford, 78-16, while Queen Anne's beat North Harford, 61-33. Girls scoring was CMW over Queen Anne's 61-33, and North Harford, 63-30, while Queen Anne's beat North Harford, 56-37.
Four double winners led CMW. Among the boys, Ryan Baldino won the 200 free and 100 fly races and Kyle Rutherford swam to wins in the 50 and 100 free races. Jake Schafer won the 100 back event for CMW.
In girls action, Molly Jordan was first in the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke races, and Lauren Rutherford was fastest in the 50 free and 100 back races. The Mustangs won all three girls relays and the boys 400 free relay.
North Harford was limited to a pair of wins from the Catrambone sisters. Emily Catrambone won the 200 free race and Lizzie won the 100 free race.
Queen Anne's had double wins from Josh Brown (500 free, 100 breast) and Haley Ritter (100 fly, 500 free). The Lions also won two boys relays.
Bel Air also was a tri-meet winner Monday at Magnolia Middle School's pool. The Bobcats beat Aberdeen, 143-45, and Joppatowne, 156-17. Aberdeen beat Joppatowne, 129-35.
In boys scoring, Bel Air beat Aberdeen, 75-19, and Joppatowne, 80-2, while Aberdeen beat Joppatowne 72-4. In girls scoring, Bel Air beat Aberdeen, 68-26, and Joppatowne, 76-15, while Aberdeen beat Joppatowne, 57-31.
Xavier Kane led the Bobcats with wins in the 50 free and 100 breast events. Other winners were Kyle Fallace (200 free), Matthew McPhee (200 IM), Drew Gagnon (100 free), Brody Cullison (500 free), Colin Kenney (100 back), Lindsay Hudson (200 free), Rebecca Entner (50 free), Sydney Mika (100 Free) and Eliza Cohen (100 breast). The Bobcats also won all relays.
Aberdeen swept the butterfly events with Dan Cullinan and Kaeli MacDonald taking firsts and Briann Long added a win in the 500 free.
Julyann Marx won the 200 IM for Joppatowne's lone victory.
Huskies win tri-meet
Patterson Mill was a winner at Magnolia Middle School's pool Friday, beating North Harford, 101-87, and Joppatowne, 146-18. North Harford also beat Joppatowne, 143-22.
In boys scoring, the Huskies beat North Harford, 53-41, and Joppatowne, 71-2. North Harford beat Joppatowne, 74-2. In girls scoring, Patterson Mill beat North Harford, 48-46, and Joppatowne, 75-16. North Harford beat Joppatowne, 69-20.
Jack Leary won the 100 fly and 100 back races to pace the Huskies. Other boys wins came from Kevin Lingelbach (200 free), Mickey Palmer (50 free) Luke Holloway (100 free) and Will Nguyen (100 breast). The Huskies also won the 200 medley and 200 free relays.
Girl wins for the Huskies came from Ana Hughes (50 free), Avery Dinger (100 free) and June Ikemoto (100 back).
The Hawks had two double winners in girls competition. Emily Catrambone won the 200 IM and 100 fly races and Hillary Young won the 500 free and 100 breast events. Lizzie Catrambone added a win in the 200 free.
North Harford girls also won all three relays.
Kyle Russell (200 IM) and Tanner Russell (500 free) were boy winners for North Harford.
Joppatowne was led by Julyann Marx, second in the 200 free, and Tricia Sands, third in both the 100 back and 100 fly races.
Bel Air swept Thursday's tri-meet at Edgewood Middle School, beating Harford Tech, 122-65, and Aberdeen, 139-49. Tech also beat Aberdeen, 112-72.
In the boys meet, Bel Air won 60-33 over Tech and 72-22 over Aberdeen. Tech beat Aberdeen, 57-33. In the girls meet, Bel Air won 62-32 over Tech and 67-27 over Aberdeen. Tech beat Aberdeen, 55-39.
In the sweep, the Bobcats won all six relays. Individually, Rebecca Entner was the lone double winner for the Bobcats, winning the 200 IM and 100 free races. Sydney Mika won the 50 free for Bel Air.
The Bel Air boys had three wins. Robert Powell (200 IM), Matt Siebold (10 back) and Collin Kenney (100 breast).
Tech had a double winner in each meet. Taylor Casalena led the girls with wins in the 200 and 500 free races. Tucker Young led the boys with wins in the 50 and 100 free events. Other winners for Tech were Alyssa Carestia (100 back), Megan Culbertson (100 breast), Jake Clark (200 free) and Chris Garvin (500 free).
Aberdeen swept the butterfly heats for its wins. Kaeli MacDonald won the girls race and Dan Cullinan won the boys.
The Mustangs won the boys meet, 126-44, and girls,102-68.
Ryan Baldino (200 free, 50 free) and Tyler Kosar (200 IM, 100 breast) were double winners for CMW boys and Megan Cowan (200 free, 100 fly) and Molly Jordan (100 free, 100 back) were double winners for the girls.
Emily Hoyt was Fallston's lone winner, winning the 500 free.
