Bel Air, Patterson Mill cap big week of swimming with Monday wins

Swim teams from Bel Air and Patterson Mill were back in winning form Monday in two separate meets.

Bel Air beat North Harford (122-68) and Joppatowne (156-23) at Magnolia Middle School. North Harford beat Joppatowne, 145-30.

Bel Air (80, 58) won the boys meet over Joppatowne (10) and North Harford (36). North Harford beat Joppatowne, 75-15.

The Bel Air girls (76, 62) beat Joppatowne (13) and North Harford (32), while North Harford beat Joppatowne, 70-15.

Xavier Kane won the 50 free and 100 breaststroke races to pace the Bobcat, who also won the 200 and 400 free relays.

Kyle Russell was a double winner for North Harford in the 200 IM and 100 fly events. The Hawks also won the 200 medley relay.

Rebecca Entner (100 back, 200 free) and Sydney Mika (50 free, 100 free) led the Bel Air girls. The Bobcats won the 200 and 400 free relays.

Lizzie Catrambone had wins in the 200 IM and 500 free to lead North Harford. The Hawks also won the 200 medley relay.

Huskies roll

Patterson Mill beat Havre de Grace (133-47) and Aberdeen (126-62) at Edgewood Middle School. Aberdeen beat Havre de Grace, 119-60.

The Huskies boys won over Aberdeen (66-28) and Havre de Grace (67-19). Aberdeen beat Havre de Grace, 62-24.

The Huskies girls beat Aberdeen (60-34) and Havre de Grace (66-28). Aberdeen beat Havre de Grace, 57-36.

Jack Leary (200 IM, 100 fly) and Luke Holloway (50 free, 100 back) were double winners for the Patterson Mill boys. Sarah Lingelbach (200 IM, 100 free) and Katerina Lomis (500 free, 100 breaststroke) led the girls.

The Huskies won all six relays.

Mustangs dominate

C. Milton Wright dominated a quad meet Friday at Edgewood Middle School.

The Mustangs won all scoring phases over Edgewood (226-105), Havre de Grace (238-85) and Joppatowne (254-35). Edgewood beat Havre de Grace, 189-122, and Joppatowne, 235-41, while Havre de Grace beat Joppatowne, 180-61.

In boys scoring, CMW beat Edgewood, 121-43; Havre de Grace, 124-32; and Joppatowne, 129-19. Also, Edgewood beat Havre de Grace, 97-45; and Joppatowne, 111-20, while Havre de Grace beat Joppatowne, 69-39.

In girls scoring, CMW beat Edgewood, 105-62; Havre de Grace, 114-53; and Joppatowne, 125-16. Edgewood beat Havre de Grace, 92-77, and Joppatowne, 124-21, while Havre de Grace beat Joppatowne, 111-22.

Leading the CMW boys, Kyle Rutherford won the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke events. Jake Schafer also won twice (50, 200 free).

Other CMW winners were Charlie Musante (100 fly), Griffith Scarborough (100 free) and Jayden Slotnick (500 free). The Mustangs also won all three relays.

Havre de Grace's Zac Orzewicz had the other boys win, taking the 100 back race.

The CMW girls also won all relays and had two double winners. Lauren Rutherford won the 200 IM and 500 free, while Asha Minott won the 100 free and 100 back events.

Julia Walsh (200 free), Sarah Cowan (100 fly) and Logan Kosar (100 breaststroke) also won for CMW.

Karli Chancey had the other girls win, swimming fastest in the 50 free.

Huskies rule

On Thursday night at Edgewood Middle, Patterson Mill won over North Harford, 119-69, and Fallston, 105-82. Fallston topped North Harford, 117-71.

In boys scoring, Patterson Mill won over North Harford, 52-42, and Fallston, 50-43. Fallston beat North Harford, 57-37.

In girls scoring, Patterson Mill beat North Harford, 67-27, and Fallston, 55-39. Fallston beat North Harford, 60-34.

Alan Nguyen (100 fly), Luke Holloway (200 free) and Spencer Stuff (100 breaststroke) were event winners for the Huskies, who also won the 200 medley and 400 free relays.

Evan English won the 50 and 100 free races for Fallston and Coby Bracken won the 500 free.

Kyle Russell won the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke races for North Harford's wins. The Hawks also won the 200 free relay.

The Patterson Mill girls swept the relays, with Sarah Lingelbach and Grace Baltimore each taking part in two. Lingelbach also won the 100 back and Katerina Lomis won the 200 IM and 100 fly races.

Fallston's three winners were Jessica Fiero (200 free), Allison Grasser (100 free) and Lindsay McFaul (100 breaststroke).

North Harford also got wins from Lauren Seco (50 free) and Lizzie Catrambone (500 free).
