The Harford County swimming league was also in opening day form Monday with two tri-meets contested at the pools along the Route 40 corridor.
In the meet at Edgewood Middle School, Bel Air was the dominant team, beating Fallston (134-54) and Aberdeen (146-22) in the combined team scoring. Fallston also beat Aberdeen, 122-66.
In the boys scoring, Bel Air beat Fallston, 58-36, and Aberdeen, 77-17. Fallston beat Aberdeen, 71-23.
In girls scoring, Bel Air beat Fallston, 76-18, and Aberdeen, 69-25. Fallston beat Aberdeen, 51-43.
In the boys meet, Bel Air won all three relays, winning the 200 medley, 200 free and 400 free relay events.
Individually, Xavier Kane led the way with wins in the 100 free and 100 breaststroke races. Matt Siebold added a win in the 200 free and Austin Eisenhour won the 100 back event.
Fallston had a pair of double winners in the boys meet. Coby Bracken won the 500 free and 200 IM races, while Evan English was fastest in the 50 free and 100 fly.
In the girls meet, Bel Air won all but one event. The Bobcats swept all three relays. Madelynn Dougherty was part of two winning relays and also won the 50 free race.
Sydney Mika was a double winner individually, winning the 200 IM and 100 fly races. Other winners were Victoria Kolosey, 200 free; Ellie Harris, 100 free; Maria Collins, 100 back and Eliza Cohen, 100 breaststroke.
The only other event, the 500 free, was won by Aberdeen's Kaeli MacDonald.
Huskies beat Hawks, Cobras
In meet action at Magnolia Middle School, Patterson Mill beat North Harford (100-76) and Harford Tech (109-53) in combined scoring. North Harford also beat Tech, 111-59.
In boys scoring, Patterson Mill beat North Harford, 44-38, but Tech beat both Patterson Mill, 44-34, and North Harford, 51-34.
In girls scoring, Patterson Mill beat North Harford, 56-38, and Tech, 75-9. North Harford also beat Tech, 77-8.
In the boys meet, the Huskies were winners in the 200 free relay. Individually, the Huskies got wins from Will Nguyen, 200 IM; Alan Nguyen, 50 free; and Jonah Windle, 100 breaststroke.
Tech boys won the 200 medley and 400 free relays. Tucker Young won the 100 free and Mason Young won the 500 free and 100 back races. Both were part of Tech's relay victories.
North Harford did get a pair of wins. Kyle Russell won the 200 free event and Nathan Robey was first in the 100 fly.
The Patterson Mill girls were winners of the 200 medley and 400 free relays.
Katerina Lomis was a double winner with wins in the 100 free and 100 back races. June Ikemoto added a win in the 200 free.
North Harford had the other wins. Lizzie Catrambone was best in the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke heats and Lauren Seco was first in the 50 free and 500 free races.
The Hawks also won the 200 free relay.
