HdG, Fallston are best in final regular season swim meets

The last regular season swim meets were contested Friday with Havre de Grace getting the better of North Harford in a dual meet at Edgewood Middle School, while Fallston was beating Aberdeen and Joppatowne in a tri-meet at Magnolia Middle School.

In Edgewood, Havre de Grace won the combined scoring, 176-145. The Warrior boys won, 90-74, and girls, 86-71.

Robert Bringardner (200 free, 500 free) and Stephen Link (100 free, 100 breaststroke) were double winners in leading the Havre de Grace boys. Nick Pippin added a win in the 50 free and Ryan Burkhardt won the 100 butterfly. The Warriors also won the 200 medley and 200 free relays in both boys and girls meets.

Allissa Lyons led the Havre de Grace girls, with wins in the 100 free and 100 back events. Brianna Clark was first in the 100 breaststroke and Keynilie Pagan-davila led a 1-2-3 Havre de Grace sweep in the 50 free.

Kyle Russell claimed both North Harford boys wins in the 200 IM and 100 back events. Hillary Young was also a double winner for the Hawks. She won the 200 IM and 500 free races. Becky Jump won the 200 free and Erin Drumm was first in the 100 butterfly.

The Hawks also won the 400 free relay in both boys and girls meets.

Cougars top Eagles, Mariners

At Magnolia's pool, Fallston defeated Joppatowne, 131-46, and Aberdeen, 105-79, in combined scoring. Aberdeen beat Joppatowne, 109-62.

In boys, Fallston beat Aberdeen, 57-33, and Joppatowne, 57-27, while Aberdeen beat Joppatowne, 42-35.

In girls, Fallston edged Aberdeen, 48-46, and beat Joppatowne, 74-19, while Aberdeen beat Joppatowne, 67-27.

Sean Lagan led the Fallston boys and Julia Rose led the girls. Lagan won the 100 butterfly and 100 breaststroke and Rose was fastest in the 50 and 100 free races.

Dylan Heil (50 free); Samuel Lopez (100 back); Emily Hoyt (200 free); and Elizabeth Massetti (100 breaststroke) were also winners for the Cougars. Fallston also won the boys 400 free relay and girls 200 free relay.

Lauren Drumm was Aberdeen's lone double winner, claiming honors in the 200 IM and 500 free events.

Kaeli MacDonald (100 butterfly) and Gabrielle Lavarias (100 back) also had wins for the Eagles. The girls also won the 20 medley and 400 free relays.

Will Pappas won the 200 IM and Robert Brosh won the 500 free for Aberdeen's boys.

Dale Marx had a hand in all of Joppatowne's wins. Marx led off by the winning 200 medley and 200 free relay teams and then raced to firsts in the 200 and 100 free events.
