C. Milton Wright (7-3, 10-3) got another solid pitching effort from senior Morghan Fulton Monday as the Mustangs defeated host Bel Air, 4-1, in UCBAC Chesapeake Division play.

Fulton tossed a three hitter and allowed an unearned run in the sixth inning. The Mustangs scored single runs in the third, fourth, sixth and seventh innings. Two were unearned.


Cassidy Cochran was 2-for-4 and Lexi Childress was 2-for-3 with a double to lead CMW. The Mustangs outhit the Bobcats, 7-3.

Sarah Fleischmann, Gwen Markowski and Katrina Thielhorn had singles for Bel Air. Markowski was the losing pitcher.

Cobras beat Tigers

Harford Tech (1-9, 5-9) got its first win in Chesapeake play Monday, beating host Rising Sun in a night game, 7-6, as the Tigers celebrated their seniors.

The Cobras started off strong, scoring two runs in the top of the first inning. The Cobras added two runs in the fourth and three in the fifth.

Kayla Hobbs was 2-for-4 with a single, triple and run scored and Molly Mioduszewski went 3-for-3 with a run scored. Trinitee Grant was 2-for-3.

Emily Bowler collected the win, pitching all seven innings. She allowed six hits and seven walks, while striking out five.

Cougars swept by Indians

Fallston (6-6, 6-8) lost a pair of Susquehanna Division games Monday at North East.

The Cougars lost game one, 10-6, and game two, 12-4.

In game one, Allisyn Evans took the loss, allowing eight hits, two walks and 10 runs (eight earned). She struck out two.

Leaders offensively were Lia Alexandrou, 1-for-4, double, RBI; Issy Newkirk, 1-for-3, two runs, triple; Taylor Brown, 2-for-3, run, RBI; Clara Stewart, 2-for-4, run; Brooke Schneiders, 1-for-3, run; and Cierra Hohman, 1-for-3, run, two RBIs.

In game two, Evans pitched two innings (one strikeout, one walk, four hits, three runs (two earned) and Brown pitched five innings (one strikeout, one walk, 11 hits, nine runs (seven earned).

Leading hitters were Newkirk, 1-for-3, run, RBI; Brown, 1-for-3, run, home run, two RBIs; and Hohman, 2-for-3, with a run, home run and an RBI.


Elks beat Rams

Edgewood (4-8, 4-9) lost 11-1 in six innings Monday at Elkton in Susquehanna play.

Jada Spinner hit a double in the loss and Amanda Sullivan took the loss.

Bobcats top Hawks

The Bel Air Bobcats softball team picked up a good and needed win Friday, traveling to Pylesville to defeat North Harford, 3-2, in an UCBAC Chesapeake Division game.

The Bobcats (3-6, 5-6) scored a run in the fourth and two in the seventh. The Hawks (6-4, 9-4) scored a run in the first on a Kristin Stiles home run and one in the seventh on a Stiles sacrifice fly.

Gwen Markowski got the win and Hunter Harbaugh took the loss.

Ari Dramis had an RBI single in the seventh inning that put Bel Air ahead 3-1. Katrina Thielhorn was 2-for-4 with two singles and Savannah Meyers had the RBI bunt that scored Morgan Dvorak in the fourth to tie the game.

Kelly Harkins scored the run for North Harford in the bottom of the seventh. Jessica Carnivale was 2-for-4 with two singles. Katie Larkin went 2-for-3 with two singles.

Warriors beat Elks

Havre de Grace (8-3, 8-5) avenged an earlier season loss to Elkton by beating the visiting Elks, 9-2, Friday in Susquehanna Division play.

Leah DuBois pitched a complete game, striking out eight. She gave up three hits and a walk.

Leading the Warriors were Hailey Emerson, two singles, two runs scored; Olivia DuBois, three singles, two runs scored; Mackenzie Ellis, two singles, two runs, two RBIs; Leah DuBois, two singles, double, one run, two RBIs; Sara Crawford, two singles, RBI; Kennan Glassman, double; Tori Lawrence: three walks, run; and Bri Morlok, one run.

Cougars beat Huskies

Fallston (6-4, 6-6) beat visiting Patterson Mil (5-6, 5-9), 10-6, Friday in Susquehanna play.

Allisyn Evans pitched all seven innings, walking four, striking out four and allowing 10 hits and six runs (four earned).

Leading the Cougars offense were Lia Alexandrou, 2-for-5, two runs, home run, RBI; Issy Newkirk, three runs, three walks; Katelyn Delaney, three runs, three walks; Taylor Brown, 3-for-5, run, RBI, double; Danielle Romberger, 1-for-3, run, RBI, two walks; and Clara Stewart, 1-for-3, RBI.

Eagles beat Rams

Aberdeen (8-3, 8-7) needed eight innings to beat host Edgewood (4-7, 4-8), 12-9, Friday in Susquehanna play.

Edgewood scored six times in the first inning and three more times in the third. Aberdeen scored twice in the first and third innings and four times in the fourth. A single run in the seventh forced the extra inning, where the Eagles plate three runs.

In the loss, Jada Stump doubled and tripled for the Rams and Julia Spinner tripled and homered. Stump, Spinner, Amanda Sullivan and Alivia Warren had RBIs.

Mustangs beat Tigers

Katie Murphy's first start of the year yielded a Mustangs win at Rising Sun on Thursday. The Mustangs (6-3, 9-3) won the Chesapeake contest, 3-1.

Murphy didn't allow an earned run and struck out six. The Mustangs pounded out eight hits, four of them doubles.

Morghan Fulton, who got her first career start at third base, drove in the first Mustangs run, driving in Murphy, who hit a two-out double in the third.

Cassidy Cochran doubled in Jill Petee in the fourth and an insurance run was added in the sixth when Danielle DeAgostino drove in Arianna Gallamoza, a courtesy runner for catcher Lexi Childress, who led off the inning with a double.

Panthers beat Cobras

Perryville stayed perfect in the division and overall Thursday, beating host Harford Tech (0-9, 4-9), 10-7, in Chesapeake play.

Tori Siler was 2-for-4 with a single, double and RBI, while Jessica Smith was 2-for-4 with two singles and two RBIs.
