Four Harford County baseball teams, Patterson Mill, Fallston, Bel Air and North Harford, stayed alive in region playoffs Monday by posting wins in section semifinal play.
Patterson Mill (18-3) advanced in Class 1A North, Section I play with an 12-2, six-inning victory over visiting Havre de Grace (5-17).
The Warriors struck first on Matt Mussman's double and Alex Gresock's RBI single in the top of the second inning, but the Huskies got two runs in the bottom half. Jacob Michael doubled and Nick Cress walked and both scored on a pair of groundouts.
Havre de Grace briefly tied the game in the third with an unearned run, but Patterson Mill took control with nine runs in the bottom of the third. Jace Valle-Shaw had a two-run single in the rally, which ended with Michael's two-run triple.
The Huskies added a run in the sixth to induce the 10-run rule. Thomas Kragh went 3-for-3 in the win, and Micheal finished 2-for-3. Eric Raley also went 2-for-3 and Cooper Mattheu was 1-for-1 with an RBI double.
Carson Uebersax pitched four innings for the win, allowing two hits and a walk. He struck out five.
The Huskies will host Bo Manor at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
Cougars beat Cobras
Fallston (12-7) moved on in 2A East, Section I, beating visiting Harford Tech (6-14), 11-5.
The Cougars jumped all over Tech in the first two innings and built a 7-0 lead. Bryce Logan got the Cougars rolling, belting a three-run, home run to deep right in the bottom of the first.
Tech battled back with three runs in the third, which chased Fallston starter Logan. Sean Harris came in for Fallston in the fourth and tossed four strong innings, allowing just two runs and four hits, to pick up the win.
AJ Gibbons had three hits for the Cougars, including a two-out, two-run triple to answer Tech's rally in the third.
Logan finished with four RBIs, while Everett Cox and Blake Loewe each had two hits.
Fallston will host North East at 4 p.m, Wednesday.
Bobcats beat Kenwood
Michael Yetter pitched a seven-inning complete game Monday as Bel Air (15-4) beat host Kenwood, 12-1, in 4A North, Section I play.
Yetter allowed just the one run on three, while striking out seven. Matching Yetter's performance on the mound, Bel Air pounded out 13 hits.
Bel Air scored five runs in the second inning to get started. Luke Beyers started the inning with a walk and the Bobcats followed with four consecutive hits.
Kenwood scored its only run in the third, but Bel Air responded with three more runs in the fourth. Bel Air's offense forced Kenwood to use four pitchers.
Yetter complemented his pitching by going 4-for-5, with three RBIs and a run scored. Beyers finished with two hits, a run and two RBIs, and Cole Slembecker was 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI. Andrew Cotton went 3-for-5 with one RBI.
Bel Air will host Catonsville on Wednesday at 4 p.m. Catonsville upset top seed Dulaney.
Hawks blank Mustangs
North Harford (14-7) won in 3A North, Section II action over C. Milton Wright (7-12), 7-0.
The game was played at Yankee Stadium at the Ripken Baseball Complex. Stats were not provided.
The Hawks will host Dundalk or Aberdeen on Wednesday. Aberdeen and Dundalk will play at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday.
