Aberdeen comes home to get one-hit and be shut out

Coming back home to the confines of Leidos Field at Ripken Stadium Wednesday should have been welcome sight for the Aberdeen IronBirds, but the bats were silent and the 'Birds lost to the Tri-City ValleyCats, 1-0.

It was the fourth straight shutout the IronBirds (18-26) have been involved in, winning two and losing two. In this loss, the IronBirds were held to one hit.

A series win

For the third time in as many days, the Aberdeen IronBirds and Brooklyn Cyclones played a New York-Penn League, McNamara Division baseball game that ended with shutout.

The two split the first two games, each winning 1-0 and fortunately for Aberdeen, Tuesday's before noon start resulted in an 2-0 Aberdeen win.
