The Aberdeen IronBirds lost both ends of a double-header at Hudson Valley on Tuesday, dropping game one, 4-1, and the nightcap, 1-0, in McNamara Division play in the New York-Penn League.The losses closed out the 'Birds six-game road trip at 1-5 and leaves the team struggling at 15-23. The IronBirds have an off-day Wednesday and return home Thursday to begin a three-game homestand against Mahoning Valley. All games are 7:05 p.m. starts and fireworks will follow both the Friday and Saturday night games.In the game two loss, Travis Seabrooke (1-4) pitched well over five innings, giving up just four hits and a walk, while striking out four. One of the hits, though, was a Landon Cray triple that drove in the game's only run in the second inning.Ryan Moseley threw one scoreless inning, despite walking three batters in the inning.Offensively, Aberdeen had four singles, from Chris Clare, Ryan McKenna, Daniel Fajardo and Kirvin Moesquit.Hudson Valley winning pitcher Eduard Rosillo gave up all four hits, but kept the IronBirds off the scoreboard for his first win. Rosillo, who went six innings, struck out six. Jose Alonso threw the final inning for his first save.Game oneAberdeen was shut down on two hits by Hudson Valley starter Adrian Navas, who gave up the lone IronBirds run, but struck out six over five and two-third innings.The Renegades got on the scoreboard in the second inning with a run, but Aberdeen pulled even in the sixth.Cole Billingsley singled and scored on Ryan McKenna's two-out double.Hudson Valley also scored in the sixth, plating three runs off reliever Will Shepley (1-1).Shepley walked the first batter he faced and then wild pitched him to second. Jim Haley touched Shepley for a ground-rule double, putting the Renegades back ahead.Shepley also walked the next batter, but was able to get two outs before giving way to Andrew Elliott.Elliott threw a wild pitch, allowing another run to score, and Angel Perez hit the second ground-rule double of the inning to drive in the third run.Aberdeen starter Matthias Dietz, added to the roster Tuesday, pitched two innings in his debut, allowing an earned run on a hit and two walks. He struck out one.Dietz was a second-round pick in this year's draft out of John A. Logan College, a community college in Carterville, Ill.
