Thursday was a busy day for county golfers and good one for a few teams, highlighted by a Bel Air win.
Playing at Winters Run Golf Course, Bel Air shot a season low score of 219 to beat Rising Sun, 263, and Elkton, 295.
Evan Ripple and Nick Daristotle led the Bobcats big day, each shooting 39. Ryan Menchen added a 43 and both James DiMeo and Josh Stocum shot 49.
Rising Sun was led by Robbie Stickley, whose round of 46 was low and the only round under 50 for the Tigers.
Genesis Diaz shot a nice round of 40 to lead Elkton.
Cougars beat Cobras, Panthers
Fallston was also a winner Thursday, winning a tri-match at Furnace Bay Golf Course.
The Cougars shot 226 to edge Harford Tech, 228, and Perryville, 232.
Fallston was paced by Dylan Wolf's round of 39. Dayton Ogrysko and Josh Sacker both shot 46, while Everett Cox added a 47. Colby Ogrysko rounded out the winning efforts with 48.
Ryan Shuck shot 40 to lead the Cobras and Loy Clements shot 44. Adam Haviland, 46, Josh Kopeck, 47, and Noah Lloyd, 51, were Tech's other players.
Jordyn Pollitt led Perryville with 43 and Jake Eldreth shot 45. Justin Eldreth added a 46, while Matt O'Neill shot 48 and Matt Mannone, 50.
Mustangs beat Hawks
In a rare dual match played at Geneva Farm Golf Course, C. Milton Wright defeated North Harford, 213-223.
Alex Mattes shot 38 to pace the Mustangs, while Andrew Filer and Talen Lurz both shot 41. CMW's other players were Michael Cummings, 46, and Cory Poulsen, 47.
Jake Nemeth shot 38 to lead the North Harford scores and Curtis Jackson was a stroke back at 39. The Hawks other scores were Derek Kozak, 48, Zach Karcher, 47, and Derek McManus, 51.
"Solid team effort. Good to see effort like this with Districts coming up on the 27th at the same golf course," CMW coach John Evans said.
Eagles beat Huskies, Rams
In a tri-match at Exton Golf Course, Aberdeen was best with 192 to beat Patterson Mill, 219, and Edgewood, 273.
Aberdeen's Mitchell Hardin fired a 36, while teammates Audrey Moon and Hunter Schiesser both shot 37. David Fulp and Ryan Feathers each shot 41 for Aberdeen as well.
Paula Moon led the Huskies with a 40 and Alec Michaels added a 41. Sean Powers, 43, Mike Montgomery, 45, and Mitchell Walz, 50, rounded out the Patterson Mill scoring.
Edgewood's Ethan Bowlin shot 44 to lead the Rams.
