The Patterson Mill girls volleyball team played maybe its best match of the season Thursday night and were rewarded for it, beating host Bel Air, 3-1.
The scores were 25-18, 25-18, 24-26 and 125-12.
Leading the winning effort were Megan Eberius, two aces, 30 sets with two assists, two kills; Rebecca Moen, four aces, 54 sets with seven assists, two kills; Olivia Manraksa, three aces; one kill, nine digs, one block; Kristina Zalesak, two aces, five kills; and Caitlin Ryan, one ace, eight kills and one block.
Warriors beat Elks
Havre de Grace needed four sets to knock off visiting Elkton, 3-1. Scores were 21-25, 25-21, 25-15 and 25-19.
After losing the first set, Havre de Grace rallied to win the next three behind a solid defense from libero Karli Chancey, Sara Crawford, Sara Campbell and Hayleigh Schafer.
Setters Janelle Golz (13 assists, two kills) and Shawnee Mahan (six assists) distributed the ball well. Strong offensive plays by hitters Katelyn Berger, six kills; Rebecca Pritt, four kills; Stephanie Rivera, three kills, two blocks; Gabriella Ennesser, eigth kills; Emily Brooks, two kills; and Victoria Stanley, two kills and a block.
Eagles beat Rams
Edgewood was defeated by visiting Bo Manor, 3-0. Scores were 15-25, 14-25 and 16-25.
Leading Edgewood were Bianca Tucker, 12 assists; Mekkai Koger, six kills; and Zoe Ingram, three kills.
