The Patterson Mill girls volleyball team took a break from league play Monday, hosting Chopticon. The visitors won 3-0. Scores were 22-25, 14-25 and 16-25.
Becca Moen led the Huskies with three aces, five assists, five kills and six digs. Megan Eberius added five assists, five kills, six digs and one block.
Leah Sanders chipped in 10 digs and Rachel Gileza had eight.
Other scores
Also Monday, Perryville beat visiting John Carroll, 3-1. Scores were 25-17, 25-21, 7-25 and 25-12.
Harford Christian defeated Concordia Prep, 3-0, Monday. Scores were 25-16, 25-18 and 25-14.
Maddie Purdy had 12 kills and three blocks and Alex Lewis had eight aces.
Harford Christian also defeated visiting Red Lion Christian, 3-0, Friday. Scores were 25-22, 25-18 and 25-13.
Jackie Bruff had seven aces and three kills and Purdy had four aces and eight kills.
Cougars top Bobcats
The Cougars of Fallston were able to defeat rival and host Bel Air, 3-1, Thursday. Scores were 25-19, 25-27, 25-16 and 25-17. The match was played in Bel Air in front of a large home crowd for the annual Dig Pink match.
The Cougars were led by Elle Jednorski, who had 14 kills in 21 attempts and nine aces at the service line. Rachel Estremsky added five kills and four aces and Kiley Morgan also contributed six kills. Setter Kelsey Walters was outstanding with 29 assists and four aces.
Fallston's JV team was also victorious 2-0 (25-19, 25-16). Rachel Solak, Brianna Smith and Soleil Dixon all had a great night with multiple aces. Solak also had two kills and two assists.
Rams beat Eagles
Edgewood defeated visiting Aberdeen, 3-1, Thursday. Scores were 25-19, 25-21, 27-29 and 28-26.
Leaders for Edgewood were Tamiya Dean, 18 kills, five aces, one block; Bianca Tucker, 27 assists, two blocks; Mekkai Koger, eight kills, two aces; and Korrin Stumph, eight aces.
Cobras beat Indians
Harford Tech also won Thursday, beating host North East, 3-1. Scores were 17-25, 26-24, 25-9 and 25-23.
Leading Tech were Kerrigan Clem, six aces, six kills, three blocks; Kieran Turner, two aces, seven kills, one block; Bailee Richman, seven aces, three kills, one block; Jonna Maddox three aces; and Jessica Smith, two aces, eight kills and 13 assists.
Panthers beat Huskies
Patterson Mill was defeated by visiting Perryville Thursday, 3-0. Scores were 19-25, 15-25 and 14-25.
Leading the Huskies were Kristina Zalesak, two aces, one kill; Emily Waters, one kill; Caitlyn Ryan, three kills, two blocks, one ace; and Olivia Manraksa, two kills.
Teri Wennersten led the Panthers with 22 kills, four blocks and four digs and Rose Porch added 30 assists and 13 digs.
Other Panthers leaders were Kadi Davis, 20 digs; Meghan Lane, 10 kills; Bea Muscella, 16 digs, 15 serving points; and Erin Murphy, 14 digs.
