The Aberdeen (18-1) girls basketball team picked up an easy win Tuesday night, beating host Edgewood, 68-26, in non-division play.

The highlight came with senior Jaelyne DeVeaux scoring her 1,000th career point. She finished with a game-high 19 points.

Anija Stancell added 17 points, while Cassandra Smitha added 10 and Tristyn DeVeaux netted eight.

Skylar Lewis led the Rams (2-16) with nine points.

Bobcats lose

Bel Air (11-6) lost to visiting Howard, 61-31, in a non-league game played Tuesday.

Maggi Hall scored 10 points to pace the Bobcats. Hall also had five rebounds and four steals. Autumn Dougherty added eight points.

Freshman Gabby Scott led Howard with 15 points. The Bobcats trailed at the half, 35-11.

Cougars fall, too

Fallston (10-11) also lost in non-league play Tuesday, losing at Manchester Valley, 52-45.

Junior guard Chantel Curry led the offense with 14 points. She also had two rebounds and an assist. Rebekah Taylor added six points and one assist and Amanda Sharpe had nine points and seven rebounds.
