The Patterson Mill girls basketball team, playing without senior point guard Sam Herman, dropped an 53-50 non-league contest Wednesday night to visiting City. The game, part of the Baltimore Basketball Academy at Morgan State, was a make-up from January.
Despite missing Herman and getting outsized, Patterson Mill led 25-23 at the half.
The Huskies led 50-47 with just 1:30 to play, but City rallied with six unanswered points to win.
Qalea Ismail, double and triple teamed for much of the contest, led the Huskies (14-4) with 18 points.
Khayla Mitchell added 11.
The Huskies (9-0 league) are scheduled to host Aberdeen (7-1) Tuesday in UCBAC Chesapeake Division play. Game time is 6:45 p.m.
Hawks beat Cougars
North Harford (2-8, 6-9) defeated visiting Fallston, 43-38, in Chesapeake play Wednesday.
Claire Macatee led the Hawks with 13 points and Claudia Deventi chipped in with 11.
Patriots close with loss
John Carroll (4-12) ended its season Tuesday, losing at St. Frances, 65-39.
Ashley Hunter was the leading scorer with 17 points, while Savannah Simmons and Lucie Passwater each scored six points.
