With playoffs on the minds of a handful of Harford County football teams, Week 10, the final of the regular season, unfolded Friday night.
Aberdeen (9-1, 6-1 league) captured the Chesapeake Division title of the UCBAC with an easy victory, 52-0, over visiting Patterson Mill (3-7, 1-6). The Eagles will host a Class 3A North region semifinal next week.
Depending on how the points finally shake out, Aberdeen's opponent could be Bel Air (9-1, 6-1), which edged host Fallston (7-3, 4-3), 21-19. The Bobcats will play next week on the road. Fallston will also play, likely at Kent Island in 2A East semifinal play. Kent Island ended Fallston's season a year ago in the region title game.
Harford's other playoff-bound team is Havre de Grace. The Warriors (7-3, 4-3) rolled up the points again, dealing host C. Milton Wright (3-7, 1-6) a 58-32 defeat. The Warriors have nailed down the second seed in the 1A East region and will host Kent County next week in a semifinal.
Also in Chesapeake action, North Harford (5-5, 4-3) put the damper on Perryville's season. The Hawks beat the Panthers, 31-27, knocking Perryville out of the playoffs.
Bo Manor will get that fourth seed in 1A East because the Eagles rolled over visiting Edgewood (5-5, 5-1), 35-8. The win also crowns Bo Manor champions of the Susquehanna Division. Bo Manor will visit Cambridge-South Dorchester in next week's semifinals.
In two other Susquehanna games, Joppatowne (3-7, 2-4) was trounced by visiting Elkton, 42-0, on the Mariners' Homecoming Night. Harford Tech (3-7, 2-4) closed with a win, beating host and winless Rising Sun, 26-14.
