Harford field hockey teams turn to playoffs

The regular season for field hockey is officially over and teams now turn their attention to region playoffs, which for all 10 Harford public school teams, play is set to begin Thursday with sectional semifinals.

In Class 1A North, Section II, top seed Harford Tech will host Havre de Grace at 6 p.m., while Patterson Mill plays host to Joppatowne at 3:30 p.m. Winners will meet in Monday's section final.

In Class 2A North, Section II, Fallston will host North Harford at 4 p.m. The winner will play in the section final Monday against the Elkton/Rising Sun winner.

In Class 3A North, Section II, C. Milton Wright earned the top seed and will host Bel Air, the defending 3A state champion. Game time is 6 p.m. In the other semifinal, Edgewood will host Aberdeen at 3:30 p.m.

Winners will meet in Monday's section final.

Scores

In final regular season games played last Wednesday, Bel Air lost at River Hill, 2-1. Anna Farley scored the Bobcats goal, with Peyton Hale assisting.

Patterson Mill lost to visiting Towson, 2-1; Harford Tech beat visiting Havre de Grace, 6-0.; and North Harford lost 1-0 in overtime to visiting Dulaney.
