C. Milton Wright sophomore Sawyer Graham knows a thing or two about wrestling. The younger sister of Wyatt Graham, a 2018 state champion, one-upped her brother over the weekend by winning her second MPSSAA state title.

Graham, who is ranked #15 nationally at 152 pounds by Flowrestling, won the 161-pound state title with a defeat of Dulaney’s Nicole Wanga.

Graham pinned Wanga in 3:39 in Saturday’s final at Northeast-Anne Arundel High School. Graham had lost to Wanga multiple times in the past.

Graham, who wrestles year round, trains at Storm Wrestling club in the offseason. She started wrestling in her freshman year at CMW and wants to wrestle in college.

Graham has competed up and down the East Coast at Super 32 in North Carolina and the Gotham City Open in New York.

In additon to Graham’s win, fellow CMW grappler Alexia Nguyen placed third at 112.

Harford Tech’s Spencer Swanson was also third at 106.
