The Fallston boys volleyball team won a pair of matches on consecutive days this week.
The latest win came Wednesday at North Harford, where the Cougars came out strong and swept the hawks, 3-0. Scores were 25-16, 25-21 and 25-20.
Clark Swatling had 23 assists, while Treston Diaz, Ben Claffee and Andy Dodd combined for 21 kills. The Cougars had a team-high 27 digs and 10 service aces.
On Tuesday, Fallston beat visiting Aberdeen, 3-1. Scores were 25-9, 17-25, 23-15 and 25-14.
Swatling and Kevin Fisher led the way with 25 total assists. Claffee and Jared Richard combined for 13 kills.
The Cougars struggled with a team low two blocks and team high 12 missed serves.
"Aberdeen is much improved from the first time we faced them, but we have to get better if this group of Cougars are going to advance in the upcoming tournament," Fallston coach Bill Stewart said.
Cobras sweep Huskies
Patterson Mill lost 3-0 to visiting Harford Tech on Tuesday. Scores were 19-25, 14-25 and 14-25.
Chad Shane had four aces, three digs, a kill and a block for the Huskies. Luke Holloway had six kills, an ace, a dig and two blocks and Justin Daniel added nine digs.
