Fallston opened its boys volleyball season with a 3-0 win Wednesday at Aberdeen. Scores were 25-10, 25-14 and 25-20.
Clark Swatling and Kevin Fisher led the way with a combined 18 assists. Joe Snee, Noah Hagenston, Jared Richard and Patrick Harmon combined for 14 kills in the win.
The Cougars most impressive player was their 2015 All-County setter Treston Diaz, who decided to convert to a middle for the betterment of the team. Diaz finished with seven kills and three blocks.
Cobras win
Harford Tech swept visiting Patterson Mill, 3-0. Scores were 25-18, 25-11 and 25-21.
The Huskies leaders were Justin Daniel, six digs; Chad Shane, two blocks; Chad Shane, two kills; Lucas Repke, eight setting attempts; and Gavin Ward, six setting attempts.
