C. Milton Wright and North Harford hooked up in a tight boys lacrosse game Monday, eventually won by the host Mustangs, 3-2, in UCBAC Chesapeake Division play. The Mustangs led at the half, 2-1.
CMW goals were scored by Cade Dail, Nick Kramer and Dominic Venanzi. Dail added two assists.
North Harford goals were scored by Clayton Hood and Brett Hurley.
CMWgoalie Josh Weaver had 11 saves.
Huskies beat Park
Patterson Mill evened its record at 2-2 Monday, knocking off host Park School, 6-4.The Huskies led at the half, 2-0.
Drew Novad and Noah Hollaway scored a pair of goals each to lead the winners, while Luke Sharretts and Isaiah Welch posted single goals.
Rudy Beck dished out three assists in the win, while Matt Troutman and Matt Berger also had single assists.
Patterson Mill goalie Will Devinney finished with 15 saves.
Cobras lose close one
Harford Tech dropped a close game Saturday against the visiting Eastern Tech Mavericks, losing 3-1.
The Cobras lone goal was scored by Griffin Pfarr, assisted by Brett Grube.Steven Mills dominated faceoffs, winning 6-of-7, but the Cobras were unable to capitalize on this advantage.
The defense was led by goalie Chris Stallings' 13 saves. Trevor Crehan added two takeaways and Ethan Bulger had two ground balls.The Cobras (1-1) were done in by unforced errors and penalty minutes.
Huskies lose twice
Patterson Mill (1-2) dropped both games at the Karl Wolf Memorial Tournament at Howard High School Saturday. The Huskies were edged by Leonardtown, 7-6, in the semifinals and also lost in the consolation game against South Carroll, 16-8. Stats were not provided.
Bobcats thump Curley
The Bel Air boys lacrosse team improved to 2-0 Friday night, knocking off visiting Archbishop Curley, 18-4, in non-league action. The Bobcats led at half, 11-1.
Tom Pfeiffer, Brad Casale and Dave Lotz scored three goals apiece to lead the Bobcats. Justin Calabrese and Justin Borzileri added two goals each, while single goals were scored by Garrett Utz, Hunter Jewitt, Jao Dinsmore, Luigi Ascenzi and Austin Weiss.
Pfeiffer also had three assists and Carter Hoffman had two. Jack Lewis and Austin Tredinnick had an assist each.
Bobcats starting goalie Gavin Hanley had five saves. Three backup tenders, Chris Hagy, Tamar Reese and Evan Sordilla, combined for four saves.
Cougars edge Dulaney
Fallston improved to 2-1 Friday, winning at Dulaney, 8-7, in non-league play.
Nick Esser and Zach Roberts scored a pair of goals each to lead the Cougars. Garrett Krug, Ben Claffee, Justin Williams and Andy Stump netted single goals.
Assists were credited to Ryan Buckler, Claffee, Williams and Matthew Wollenweber.
Fallston goalie Liam Wilcox finished with 10 saves. The Cougars led 6-4 at half.
Mustangs beat Warriors
C. Milton Wright defeated host Havre de Grace, 9-6, Friday night in UCBAC Chesapeake Division play.
Kenneth Watts tossed in three goals to lead the Mustangs, who improved to 3-1 overall. Jacob Smucker added two goals, while single goals were scored by Cade Dail, Luke Logan, Grady DiPeso and Brad Martin.
Casey Brown scored three goals to pace the Warriors, who suffered their first loss after winning their first two games. Kyle Barkley contributed two goals and Nick Burley scored one.
Mustangs keeper Philip Venanzi recorded 14 saves. Backup Josh Weaver came on to make one save.
Havre de Grace goalie Jacob Laubner made eight saves. CMW led at the half, 3-1.
Other Friday score
In other action, Joppatowne (2-0) edged visiting Aberdeen (0-3), 10-9. Stats were not provided.
Cobras win opener
Harford Tech opened its lacrosse season in the win column Thursday, beating the visiting Edgewood Rams, 19-5, in UCBAC Susquehanna Division play.
The Cobras dominated the faceoffs, winning 20 of 22. Steven Mills recorded 12 faceoff wins and Nick Letts posted six.
Scoring leaders for Tech were Brandon Winand, three goals, one assist; Griffin Pfarr, three goals, two assists; Brett Grube, one goal, five assists; Marcos Ramos, two goals; and Cole McGuirk, four goals.
Defensively, Tech was led by goalies Chris Stallings and Adam Smith. Each made two saves.
The Cobra defense also dominated ground balls with Letts and Mills each scooping up seven. Grube, Ethan Bulger and Colin McLean picked up four ground balls apiece.
Edgewood (0-2) stats were not reported.
