Bel Air, C. Milton Wright, Havre de Grace and Joppatowne were all winners in Friday night boys basketball.
C. Milton Wright remained the county's lone unbeaten team, beating host Edgewood, 75-52, in Chesapeake Division play. The Mustangs, who led at the half, 33-21, improved to 10-0 overall and 3-0 in league play.
Mychal Stefanides had a huge night, scoring 30 points in the win. Corey Bays also reached double figures, netting 13 and Will Hazelton added nine.
Hazelton and Stefanides each had four assists. Stefanides also had six steals and Bays completed the double-double with 10 rebounds.
Edgewood (0-3, 4-4) was led by Tyrone McKisset, 18 points and seven rebounds. Immanuel Gladden-Stokes netted eight points to go along with seven rebounds. Donavin Tilley and Ryan Burgess chipped in seven points apiece.
Bobcats beat Huskies
Bel Air (2-1, 4-5) posted a 47-40 Chesapeake win over visiting Patterson Mill (1-2, 4-3) Friday.
The Bobcats led at halftime, 22-6.
Jahari Carmicheal scored 12 points to pace the Bobcats, while Drew Adams and Kevin Morrissey added nine points each. John Gallina scored eight points in what Bobcats coach Brent Nichols noted as a "great team effort."
HdG is 3-0 in division
Havre de Grace improved to 3-0 in UCBAC Susquehanna Division play, easily beating visiting North East, 57-39.
The Warriors (7-1 overall) jumped ahead, 8-2, in a slow first quarter for both teams. Both teams warmed up a bit in quarter two, with Havre de Grace leading at halftime, 20-12.
A 10-4 run just two minutes into the second half pushed the Warriors lead to 30-16. Another 10-4 spurt in the quarter doubled up the score, 40-20. The Warriors finished the quarter with 25 points and a 45-24 lead.
The Warriors cruised from there, with all 10 players who dressed for the game scoring. Krs Yancey led with 16 points and Jordan Hawthorne added 11. Jack Eberhardt came on to hit two, three-point baskets and finish with eight points.
Dean Palmer (nine points) and Kyle Kinney (seven) led the Indians (0-3, 4-5).
Other Friday scores
Joppatowne (3-1, 7-2) beat visiting Aberdeen (2-1, 6-5), 62-42, in Chesapeake play, while North Harford (2-2, 4-6) fell to visiting Elkton, 47-30, in Susquehanna play.
Cougars beat Eagles
In the lone boys basketball action scheduled for Thursday night, Fallston (2-7) turned back visiting Bo Manor (3-5), 56-40, in non-division play.
Dylan Wolf pumped in 19 points to lead the Cougars, who also got eight points from both Chris Curry and Zach Roberts.
