The Patterson Mill baseball team closed out its championship regular season Tuesday with a 7-2 win over host Bel Air in UCBAC Chesapeake Division play.
The Huskies (13-1, 17-3) scored four runs in their first at bat and the Bobcats (10-4, 13-4) were never a threat.
Kyle Goudy led off the game with a double and, after stealing third, scored on Jordan Reid's single. Max Elliott then walked and Jacob Michael hit a two-run double to highlight the four-run inning.
Patterson Mill added a run in the fourth on a successful first and third run-down sequence and two more scored in the fifth, aided by Eric Raley's two-out RBI single. Elliott scored the other run on a passed ball.
Bel Air got its first run in the third, starting with a single from Liam Bowers, who stole a base. Luke Beyers drove him in with a two-out double.
The Bobcats added an unearned run in the seventh on two errors.
Raley finished with two hits to pace the Huskies eight-hit attack.
Mike Koski had two hits for Bel Air, which finished with six hits.
Austin Koehn pitched five innings to earn his ninth win of the season. He allowed five hits and four walks, while striking out two. Steve Spencer threw the final two innings, giving up a hit and four walks, while striking out two.
Jack Jenkens took the loss, pitching two innings. He allowed three hits, two walks and four earned runs. He struck out three. Michael Yetter pitched four innings, allowing four hits and six walks. He struck out four. Beyers also pitched an inning.
Hawks blank Rams
North Harford improved to 13-7 Tuesday, beating visiting Edgewood (8-10), 10-0, in five innings.
The Hawks rode the pitching of senior Jack Reaves, who tossed his second straight complete game shutout and the Hawks third in a row. Reaves struck out eight, while adding a hit and RBI at the plate. Senior Colin Bowling and junior Jordan Wax both had two hits and two RBIs.
