The Fallston Cougars (11-6) won their sixth straight baseball game Wednesday, knocking off visiting Edgewood (8-9), 8-2, in a non-division game celebrating Senior Day.
Senior Jared Pirrera picked up the win in relief, tossing two solid innings against the Rams. Senior AJ Gibbons led the Cougars offensively going 2-for-4 with two triples. One of the three-baggers was a bases-loaded, bases-clearing triple to center.
Brett Sperl and Blake Loewe had two hits each for Fallston. Starter Joey Pacheco pitched three scoreless innings and had a no-decision.
Warriors fall on road
Havre de Grace (4-16) lost at Rising Sun, 6-0, Wednesday in non-division play.
The Warriors were shut down on four hits. Collecting them were Mike Flosser, 1-3; Alex Holian, 1-3; Alex Gresock, 1-3; and Thomas Crites, 1-1.
Other game
Wednesday's game with C. Milton Wright (6-9) playing at Gilman, was postponed with no make-up date.
